The screener is free — actually free

The CovWell screener costs nothing, requires no card, and creates no obligation. We don’t sell your contact information to other agents or lead marketplaces — the only people who follow up are the licensed brokers named on this site.

Commissions from carriers

When you choose to place a policy through Bollinsure, the insurance carrier pays us a commission — a percentage of your premium. This is the standard way independent agencies are paid. For admitted products, commission is built into the carrier’s rates as filed with the California Department of Insurance, so working with a broker does not add to the price you pay for the same policy.

Independence is the point

Bollinsure has access to a broad range of carrier markets and is not owned by, or exclusive to, any insurance company. Current relationships and availability vary by product and underwriting. Commission rates also vary between carriers and product lines — which is why any recommendation comes from a licensed producer who can explain the reasoning, not from the AI.

Performance-based compensation

Like most independent agencies, Bollinsure may be eligible for additional compensation from some carriers based on factors like overall volume or retention across the whole agency. This kind of compensation is never tied to steering any individual client to any particular policy, and it never changes what a policy costs you.

Broker fees

For most placements there is no fee of any kind beyond carrier-paid commission. In hard-to-place situations (for example, surplus lines), a broker fee may apply — California law and our own practice require that any such fee be disclosed and agreed to by you in writing before you owe anything.
